Our location is an ideal base for exploring south, west and mid Wales. Larkhill is within half an hour’s drive from the Cardigan Bay coastline with its sandy beaches and spectacular scenery and is also one of the best places in the UK to see dolphins, seals and porpoises. Boat trips are available from Newquay to get an even closer look!

Besides the coastline there are numerous things to do. Y0u can canoe along the Teifi River through Cilgerran Gorge – the home of otters and kingfishers. Or visit an Iron Age settlement (featured on a BBC Production) where children can make Iron Age bread! and have their faces painted like warriors (school holiday periods only).

There’s horse riding, fishing, paint balling, Oakwood theme park, Go Karts, Folly Farm, a butterfly farm, chocolate factory, steam railways, castles and museums – the list is endless! The Centre for Alternative Technology is a little way up the coast but easily manageable as a day trip
