We currently have two 4 berth tipis (18’) and a 6 berth tipi (23’) all of which are appropriately furnished for tipi living.

The tipi is a magnificent structure and provides surprisingly spacious accommodation – a perfect place for family and friends to get together. There’s nothing quite like a central fire at night, with candles and lanterns flickering, to create a warm, snug and friendly atmosphere, far from the pressures of the world.

The tipis are furnished with traditional features such as sheepskin rugs, trunks for storing items, a low table, candles and a central wood fire. The floor is covered in rugs and there are wooden bed bases, comfortably covered in foam and futons, together with large cushions, pillows and extra bedding if required.

All cooking equipment is supplied i.e. pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, etc. together with a cold box. Meals are not included in the holiday but you can cook on an open fire (firewood included), a barbeque or on calor gas. Or alternatively there are several good local restaurants! All you need to bring are sleeping bags, your own food, a towel for the shower and a torch, although there are solar lights around the tipis.

Available for use by all tipi and yurt dwellers is a log cabin which has a calor gas cooker, woodburning stove, a low energy power supply for mobile phones, battery charging, etc., a sink for washing up and is also furnished with sheepskins, rugs and cushions. Please note there is no facility for hairdryers and similiarly high powered applicances.

Also on site there are two hot showers, a tiled compost toilet (praised by many of our guests!) and a bog standard flush toilet!
